The moonlight danced across the old bailey that stood in its stony wonder. A small figure as lithe as a ballerina sat crouched on the edge overlooking the small housing district and the alley ways that connected each house. With a weak smile she stood up, gracefully making her across the ledge till she reached the end, her long black hair blew gently in the wind as it fell loosely out of its hair tie, her simple white dress with the bow decoration shifted slightly as her shoes clipped across the dark granite surface.
She wasn’t sure where she was going, she simply liked to wander. Curiosity got the better of her and it was usual for the young girl to find herself in a place she’d never seen before, hopelessly lost and clueless on how to get back. She didn’t mind though sometimes it was good to be lost especially since no one came looking, Alice often wondered if she could simply disappear, would anyone care? Would anyone ever find her? Her mum had died, the only person that did care heck it would be a miracle if someone did notice her gone. Though she wasn’t bitter, she could never be Alice understood people had their own lives to live as she had hers.
Sighing she stopped as she came to the cliff side that overlooked the beautiful world. It was asking for explorers, hell it was almost begging for them. Biting her lips gently she carefully followed the trail down till she reached the base. In the darkness it almost looked poetic especially the way the stars danced across the night sky. She smiled as her emerald eyes caught site of a limp looking plant, the flowers were dying and she frowned softly. Bending down she touched it gently with the palm of her hand the soft pastel coloured magic flowed out mystically wrapping around the plant till finally it changed. The colours grew vibrant and the flowers sprung back to life. Pleased with her work she sat down leaning against the rocky wall her emerald eyes slipped back to the night sky as she enjoyed the beautiful site and began wishing away her troubles. "Star light, star bright." she began "First star I see tonight..."

I don't want this moment to ever end Where everything's nothing without you I wait here forever just to, to see you smile 'Cause it's true, I am nothing without you R e e s e G r a c e f i e l d Through it all I've made my mistakes. I stumble and fall but I mean these words. Reese had wandered into this world, finding yet again that he didn't belong. He felt weird here. Like nothing could help him. Well, he wasn't depressed. He didn't really feel anything. He just wanted to belong. He wanted to know what he was. He wanted to know who he was before the fog in his mind. He wanted to know everything.
He strolled through the town, knowing that he had to go somewhere. He ended up in the square at night, the metal of his fan's blades glistening in the moonlight. He ignored it, not feeling happiness about that simple sight. He found nothing in it. He only found emptiness. He walked to the cliff, only to find a girl there. Silently, he cursed, but yet he wanted company. He tried smiling, but couldn't. He looked away and then walked behind her. He found words and just simply spoke,"Pretty night, eh? I want you to know with everything I won't let this go These words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know As I bleed my heart out to show and I won't let go

Lost in her own world Alice let her mind wander on different places she’d like to visit. There had to be other worlds, ones other than this one and the place she’d woken up in during the heartless’ reign of terror. Hell she knew there had to be, they were out there basically begging her to find them! She grinned loosely as she thought of all the things she’d do during her time in a new world. All the people she’d meet, of course she’d be polite and sweet she didn’t fancy making enemies in a world she’d be new to. The stars twinkled in the sky shining brightly like diamonds on blanket of navy blue, she loved the colours they were simply beautiful, she loved stars when she was younger she and her mother would simply sit and watch them all night pointing out constellations and pictures together while drinking hot chocolate.
A pitter patter of footsteps caught her attention, diverting her gaze from the beautiful diamond stars. A man stepped forward he seemed older than her probably a couple of years as his face wasn’t awash with wrinkles or lines. Her emerald eyes took him in as she examined him closely, his presence didn’t seem threatening so she relaxed. “Yes, I do like it when the stars come out.” she said softly. Alice was almost surprised that the man had stopped to talk to her it wasn’t something she was used to. It was nice though she blinked delicately as the moonlight shone down harder, it seemed to focus on her emerald iris’ giving them the soft glow of the jewel they were coloured. “I haven’t seen you around before,” she Alice who was normally good with faces and names. “I’m Alice.” She said introducing herself politely “it’s nice to meet you.”

He tried t crack a smile when she told him her name, but found that the muscles in his face wouldn't move. Instead, his lips twitched slightly, revealing a little bit of teeth. It was almost like a smile, but something seemed to be lacking. Something he couldn't control.
He held out his hand, knowing that the hand was as cold as a dead person's. Yet, he couldn't find himself to warm up. He didn't know. He glanced at her eyes, found them interesting and then finally found that a empty smile was on his lips,"Name's Reese Quinn Gracefield and its great to meet you." He knew his smile seemed fake, but he could conjure something different. Leaving the Burrow, Cloud walked the same familiar path he always did. His scarf danced a bit with the oncoming breeze, tonight was the night he would walk...actually walk his home. His wing twitched as he headed for the destroyed courtyard below the castle. The wreckage was all part of the scenery, it pained him that it was destroyed and yet he felt no remorse or guilt. That was in the past and there was nothing he could do to change it.
As he walked he gazed all around as countless battles raged through his head. "I almost lost them...." Reaching the opening that lead to the cliff, Cloud began to slow as the moon shot beams of light down to the planet. "This place is so beautiful at night, I wonder why I've never been here at night before." Cloud's left hand raised as he pointed at the moon, his claw shimmering it the pale moon light. Again he set out to the cliff, his Buster Sword resting gently on his shoulder.
Cloud came out of the path at the top of the cliff and saw two people he had never seen before, standing near the ledge. As timid as he was, Cloud casually strolled over to them and put away his sword. Reaching the two, they hadn't yet noticed him and he decided to announce himself present. "Am I interrupting anything?"

"Reese Quinn Gracefeild" said Alice testing the name on her lips. IT was a nice name and she smiled. She wondered again which world he'd come from, he certainly didn't look like he came from the world she'd visited briefly in fact he definitely didn't belong there. Curiosity over came her and before she could stop herself she began to ask him. "What world are you from?" she almost blurted out, with eager excitement. "S-sorry," she apologised her cheeks flushing furiously at how rude she must have sounded. She was embarrassed to say the least. "R-really I didn't mean to be rude." she added nervously. She didn't want to upset him, she'd only just started talking to him and it would be horribly lonely if he'd left now. Though it wasn't like she wasn't used to it- but not that it mattered! If he wanted to leave he could she wouldn't mind it wouldn't be his fault if he found her annoying, she sighed inwardly she was sure a lot of people did.
"-it’s just I've always wanted to visit a new world," said Alice letting out a tiny scoff at her own foolishness "sounds, dumb I know." she said sadly. If he could travel across worlds, maybe she could to.
"Am I interrupting anything?" Alice's eyes widened in sudden fright, she hadn't heard the stranger approach and when he had spoken it had more or less made her jump. Swivelling round she came face to face with a blonde boy whose scarf was billowed in the wind. She smiled friendlily, again she felt the feeling of embarrassment wash over, she must have looked incredibly stupid, jumping in such a manner. "N-no," she said shyly “I-it’s fine,” Said Alice, who still carried the welcoming smile, she was sort of happy speaking to them now it was nice to have so much company.
“It’s a nice night isn’t it.” She said speaking to both Reese and the newcomer. “I’ve never seen so many stars before...” she finished, not realising how odd she might have sounded, she couldn't help it especially since the moonlight cast always cast a beautiful shadow across the town it overlooked, like it was protecting it.

I don't want this moment to ever end Where everything's nothing without you I wait here forever just to, to see you smile 'Cause it's true, I am nothing without you R e e s e G r a c e f i e l d Through it all I've made my mistakes. I stumble and fall but I mean these words. Reese was surprised by Alice's question. Some people weren't right out for that question, but he supposed some were. After all, he didn't have much people contact. He really didn't know where he was from. He didn't remember anything really. He sighed, but answered her question the best he could, " I don't really know myself. Things are a little fuzzy.
When he heard a voice, he silently cursed to himself. They weren't alone. And once he looked at the voice that spoke, his eyes narrowed. He felt something around the man and he didn't like it. After all, he could feel the sensation of blood on his hands. He looked at Alice and then back at the man. He didn't like him. But him being him and not one to start anything, he wouldn't start anything. He could feel darkness coming though. And he hated this. This darkness, although it was comforting, he didn't like it.
And that's when this feeling got worse. This feeling was one of those Heartless. He knew these things pretty well. After all, they didn't really bug him. They more like danced near him. It was the ones that were bigger and scarier looking that harassed him in the worlds he had been in. He didn't like those. That's when he peered into the horizon and saw one of those "scary" Heartless. He grabbed his fan from his side and took it from his belt. He cracked his wrist and the fan opened up to its wing span of around five feet. The fan was more long than wide, the height to about seven feet. The outside was black wood and the "paper" of the fan was gray with a symbol that always drew him back home. The symbol itself was more like an upside black heart with arms extending from it. He has had memories of it. He often called it the Nobody's symbol although he had no clue what that was. It just rolled off his tongue one day and it stuck.
Reese glanced at the horde of Heartless coming. He hated fighting, but these things he hated. He wanted to destroy every one of them. He glanced at the man and Alice and then spoke, " Ready for a little fun?"
I want you to know with everything I won't let this go These words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know As I bleed my heart out to show and I won't let go

Cloud saw that the girl was embarrassed by his question and quickly apologized. "Sorry about that...... I get uneasy around new people.." Cloud lifted his left hand and put it to the back of his head. "Well what are you guys doing out..." Cloud saw the boy pull his fan out and he instantly pulled out his Buster sword in retaliation.
"Fun? You want to fight now.... I mean really..." But the boy kept looking past him. Cloud peered around to see what he was looking at, and saw the horde of heartless heading for them. Quickly Cloud jumped in front of the girl and readied his sword. "This night is gonna get a whole lot more interesting." Cloud looked at the boy and said under his breath, but just enough so that they could hear. "And darkness descends upon me once again, I can never escape it."
Cloud looked back at the girl with full intentions, "Are you ready for this?" With that Cloud charged head on into the hoard of attacking Heartless.

“S-sorry,” Alice apologised again, she should have known better of course it would have been fuzzy; you didn’t end up in a different world for a good reason. Normally there were dark reasons behind it, she would know. “Oh, well, I was exploring,” she said softly “I always find its better when no one else is out-.” But she was cut off as a large fan burst into view. Grey and with a large wing span it was easily half as big as her, a strange yet familiar symbol was drawn across the middle of the fan, she just couldn’t place it she was sure she’d seen it before. Her eyes travelled quickly as black smoke began to fill the Cliffside, her eyes widened in horror as a group of attack heartless sprang into view rearing their ugly heads ready for battle. Her mouth fell agape as she trembled in fear, those creatures. She hated him, they took her mother. Anger and fear bubbled inside her and Alice narrowed her emerald eyes nodding with a soft yes in reply. It was the blonde boy that moved first, jumping in front with his giant sword raised high, the battle began. The heartless charged as their numbers grew.
Alice concentrated carefully tapping into the power that dwelled inside her, she had to focus or it wouldn’t work and she’d only make the scenario worse. She didn’t want to be a burden there was so many if she did act stupidly she’d be finished. She opened her hands spreading her palms and as green magic began to circle them her gaze shot to the plant she’d saved earlier. It was time for it to return the favour! The roots began to grow charging across the field like lightning striking into the first heartless she could see. Delicately she twisted her arms and lifted her palms in an almost ballet dance like fashion directing the roots like a giant whip. She kept missing, Alice wasn’t powerful heck she knew that, but as long as she could defend the others she’d do her best! Concentrating harder she finally struck a heartless, knocking it back forcefully; it skidded to a halt creating a dented trail on where it had skidded, the creatures evil yellow eyes narrowed with hate. Again she concentrated forcing the roots to fight the heartless’ attacks. It only seemed futile, but she wouldn’t give up. Not yet.

I don't want this moment to ever end Where everything's nothing without you I wait here forever just to, to see you smile 'Cause it's true, I am nothing without you R e e s e G r a c e f i e l d Through it all I've made my mistakes. I stumble and fall but I mean these words. Reese waited until the Heartless were almost upon him. He felt their weight crushing him down to the ground and that's when he allowed his power to attack them. He swung his fan and out came needles filled with poison. He watched as some hit the ground and other's hit the Heartless, which have flown off of him due to the force that he had swung his fan. The ones that hit the ground started to corrode the dirt and melt it. The ones that hit the Heartless caused the Heartless to scream in their own way in agony. But they couldn't die from just that. They would just be injured to the point where it would affect their fighting.
His eyes turned a dangerous yellow as he felt the darkness inside of him grow. He wouldn't let it control him, but he knew that he fought the best while this was happening. Another Heartless stormed towards him and he cracked his wrist, causing The heartless to stop where it "stood" and fall into pieces. It didn't have a heart, but it sure did have a soul. And that was what he was in charge of. Souls. He stood up straight and he ran at the middle of the horde, knowing that they couldn't hurt him. There was nothing beating in his chest for them to take. He cracked his wrist again, causing a few Heartless to part into pieces. He knew he couldn't last too long doing this. That when he just went the pure violent route. He started to stab the Heartless with the fan, it cutting completely into them and then causing them to fall apart. He felt the darkness rise more into him and that's when he retreated back to wear the man and Alice were, panting. He was getting to the exhausted point and he knew that he couldn't go too far. He didn't want to fade. He put his fan away and he took out a few knives that he had found. He tossed them at the Heartless and started fighting tooth and nail. He couldn't use his power. Not yet. Not until he charged some of it up again.
He chuckled as the Heartless numbers started dwindling. He watched as the hearts from their bodies rose into the sky. He grinned with greed, wanting one for his own. He felt a Heartless's claws dig into his shoulder and he ripped himself away. He let out an animal-like growl and kicked it away, falling back into the shadows. This was getting a little much. Why were they coming now? "Stupid...things..." He touched where he was scratched and winced as a dark vapor poured out of him. He would need to be healed quickly. But first, to deal with these things.
He felt the power rising back in him and he took out his fan again, it glistening with darkness. He grinned and cracked his wrist again, watching the Heartless scream and then fall apart. Was he really this cruel What had happened to his calmer side? Was the darkness getting worse? What was he? I want you to know with everything I won't let this go These words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know As I bleed my heart out to show and I won't let go

Cloud watched as the boy went into a berserk like frenzy. His power, his speed, his aggression...they were all intense. As the boy came back to panting Cloud took to the offensive again. With his claw he struck two Heartless across their faces, they disappeared without a trace. Cloud readied his sword and with a single swoop of his hand cast Lightning down upon a large amount of Heartless.
"They just keep coming at us...." Cloud jumped and spread his wing, and with his power surging a flame and lightning aura radiated around him. Cloud flew into the air and came down on the Heartless only to fly right back up and do it twice more. As Cloud came back down to the ground he saw the boy enter his berserk phase again and decided to fall back to the girl.
As cloud fell back, he saw a rouge shadow behind the girl. It popped up and started it's attack at the girl. Cloud ran and tried so desperately to get there in time. All he could do was yell, "Behind you!"

She saw it before she felt it, her eyes widened in horror as the dark heartless appeared in a hustle of smoke its sharp claws at the ready. It reached out ready to attack she brought her palm around the root raced over ready to strike down the heartless but it was too late it was already in mid attack. She felt her feet lift from the ground as she flew across the hard granite floor of the cliff she skidded leaving a dirty trail landing in a heap, Alice could smell the blood from her grazes the pain was horrible, she bit down on her lip as she checked her arms and legs quickly. She gazed down at her dirty dress and felt her eyes well up. Her mother had made this- it was ruined, they’d – they’d ruined it.
Alice was so dangerously near the edge if something was to hit her she knew she’d go right over, carefully she scrambled up holding her bloody arm as her leg limped sorely. The heartless that had attacked her was already making its way over with no time to think she felt it push her down again as it attacked relentlessly. She scrambled as she tried to concentrate again, hell she needed that concentration without it her magic wouldn’t work! Her screamed pierced the night sky as she felt the shadows claws rip into her skin and tears leaked down her face as she desperately scrabbled against it.
“Help...” she heard herself whisper.
She felt so weak, she was weak. Nothing but a weak stupid little girl who didn’t have the skill to fight a silly little heartless! Suddenly her eyes seemed to glow a brighter green as the tendrils from weeds that grow out of the cliff surged upwards grabbing the heartless before they ripped it apart. She felt a few grow limp and fall back to the ground, she'd used to much magic! The remaining two dragged her up placing her gently on her feet; she grabbed one root for support as it held her in place. Her body trembled as her eyes sought out the others, Reese he was bleeding she could help him! Something else caught her eye though, his blood it was black. She didn't have time for the confusement the heartless were ruthless they just kept coming... She shot out her right wrist as she forced the other of the rooty tendrils forward, a tiny smile twitched at her features as it threw one of the shadows across and over the Cliffside.
She hated fighting, she really did. She wanted to stop, she wanted to go home, but the heartless they-they were everywhere, she threw out another vine but her power was weak now. She bit her lip as her body trembled buckling under its own weight she fell to her knees. As the tendrils surrounded her thrashing feverishly at any heartless that dared to draw near. It was futile though soon she'd run out of magic completely and if she tried to use any more- well Alice knew what would happen.
