Zexion never really went into town other than when he wanted to get his mind off of school and think about bigger, more philosophical ideas that he felt were above what the confines of his education system would provide him. That didn't mean he spoke to anyone, really. It was more like a self-perpetuating conversation he had with just himself. Asking himself one question... answering with another, maybe... It would seem as though things went nowhere, but usually at the end of the day Zexion would find his intellectual thirst fully satisfied.
And some days it wasn't philosophical at all. Some days, he just wanted to be alone. People he knew clouded his thoughts some times. So today, he was thinking about why he associated with the people he did.
Really, though, look at them. The majority of them don't give a rat's ass about school, or expanding their knowledge. Some of them don't have any endeavors whatsoever. Really, that sort of crowd could bring him down... but they also made him look better in comparison.
And, they weren't all that bad all the time. Sometimes they proved to be amusing. He mused on the thought... life would be dull and dreary without such moments. It's always nice to have someone to laugh at.
Zexion stepped up to a stall of books and ran his fingers against their spines. He was the sort of person who could grasp most of what a book would truly be about by just touching it -- something he tried to not let on. Suppose that would be considered cheating... not like it mattered. He read the actual books, anyway. So, in pure amusement, he picked up one about Physics. Something that was supposed to be entirely explained through experimentation. Something he's never really bothered experimenting with. But yet, as he read the sentences, it just all made sense.
