Twas the next day after her interesting encounter with the two mysterious and illusive Nobodies. She packed her school work the night before and wrote in her journal before she set off to bed. She did that every night she felt she had something worry noting about, and yesterday was definitely worth noting.
"So... these boys and that one blonde girl are Nobodies..." she thumbed a sketch she had done of a few of them the night before. After being newly introduced to the school, she found that group was the most evasive. Not like she went out of her way to talk to them. She may have caught one of their gazes before, but always brushed off as a coincidental occurrence. But now she would be going out of her way a little bit to not even talk to them, but to be aware of what they were doing. It would be nice if they took a positive notice to her, too, but you could never guarantee that.
Best to start with them one by one. Maybe get to know one of them really well, and get introduced to the group later. Who knew?
"I suppose I'll start with this one," she poked a drawing she had done of a red-headed fellow. It may be she has seen him the most, or maybe she noticed him more. His fire red hair didn't hide him very well. But she knew he was in most of her classes -- that was a good place to start.
She found herself in the halls of her school before she knew it. First class would start in about fifteen minutes. She figured she'd have enough time to go to her locker and just wander around a bit for kicks. She exchanged the majority of her books that she had taken home with her in her locker for her chemistry book. She first had the class, and then later in the day was the lab. Something about switching the topics instead of having them back to back was supposed to be beneficial for intellectual growth.
The class was maybe half-way full when she found herself in the room. A little bit early. Maybe seven minutes. She took a seat toward the back as she usually did -- not because she was a slacker, but because she was always most comfortable back there. She could see everyone, the board, no one had problems hearing her when she spoke. And the front seemed like where all the kiss-ups went. There was still a row behind her for those who really wanted those seats, anyway.
She cracked open her sketchbook and started absent-mindedly sketching a girl a few seats diagonal from her -- it wasn't uncommon for her to do that. Did she even have this class with the red-head? What was his name... Alex? She'd find him later in the day eventually, if he cared to show up...
